Raw Dairy


There is no doubt that raw milk has changed our lives and our health, for the better. The first time I drank it, I was 37 weeks pregnant with our 4th child. I was blown up like a balloon - my ankles and legs and hands were swollen with extra fluid. Within 24 hours of having my first glass of raw milk, I lost 3 pounds of fluid. What a relief that was! We had a very thin, anemic child whose hemoglobin jumped 2 whole points after the addition of raw milk and free range eggs to our diet. We had another child who frequently had stomachaches, and suddenly noticed - that child hadn’t complained of a stomachache for weeks! After we started drinking raw milk, we slowly replaced our standard American diet food with healthier, more traditional and nourishing, options. I also had been battling an autoimmune disorder - Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis - for awhile. After changing our diet, my thyroid antibodies (which should be less than 2) went from 960, down to 4.

Raw milk has beneficial bacteria. It helps fight asthma, allergies, eczema, and digestive problems - among others. It contains all the enzymes your body needs to digest milk properly, so you don’t react to it. Raw milk from cows on pasture contains fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K. Don’t skim that luscious layer of cream off the top of the jar (despite how tempting it is)! You need it to absorb those vitamins in the milk.
